…In Worshipping In Spirit And In Truth

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Philip. 3:3

…In Prophecy

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. 1 Cor. 14:1

But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 1 Cor. 14:3

He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. 1 Cor. 14:4

I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. 1 Cor. 14:5

…In Speaking With Other Tongues

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:4

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Acts 10:44-46

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Jude 1:20

Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. Psalm 47:6

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 103:1

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God: Rev. 19:1

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Rev. 19:6

…In Musical Instruments As A Part Of The Worship Service

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 150:3-6

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Ephes. 5:19

Note: (the word “melody” in this verse in the Greek (psallo) means to play a stringed instrument with the fingers; to strike a chord; sing to the music of a harp) the same Greek word is also found in Rom. 5:9; 1 Cor. 14:15; and James 5:13. Proving there is music in the New Testament.

…Speaking And Singing in Other Tongues And In English--The Highest Form Of Praise

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

1 Cor. 14:14-15

We Believe
